Central West Ballet is an environment proper to the development of creative performing artists committed to the future of the company. Auditions are held every year for the company and for The Nutcracker. All company dancers have the opportunity to be taught, rehearsed and coached by an experienced team of dance professionals.


COMPANY AUDITIONS 2007

Auditions will be held:

Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Juline School of Dance, Studio D
Registration will begin at 12 noon. A $10 Registration fee is required

Men and Women 1–3:30 pm (Must be at least 14 years old)
Contract goes from July 2, 2007 – May 15, 2008

Classes begin at 2 pm M–F and Saturday at 9:30 am

Central West Ballet holds company auditions every year. Auditions are for all serious minded students in dance with a strong commitment to classical ballet technique. Additionally, Central West Ballet has continued acquiring young adult dancers, who are taking the company to the next level.

Central West Ballet dancers work from Monday to Friday 6:30pm to 9pm
and Saturdays from 12pm to 6pm.

Central West Ballet dancers who are still students up to 17 years old are required to attend the Juline • School of Dance pre-professional program (levels 6 through 9) under the direction of Leslie Ann Larson, Ballet Mistress for the company.

Classes at Juline • School of Dance start at 3:30pm from Monday to Friday. Saturday classes start at 10:30am.


NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS

Nutcracker auditions are held in September. Rehearsals begin in October

Roles such as additional children for the Party Scene, Soldiers for Battle Scene, Angels for the 2nd Act Overture and Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy characters such as the Holiday Bonbons and Gingerbread Cookies are available for those who wish to experience stage performing and be part of the magic and excitement of The Nutcracker.

Peformances at the Gallo Center for the Arts will be from Dec. 14 – Dec. 23, 2007.
