Cerissa Urry comes from Layton, Utah. A petite dancer with superlative technical abilities, Urry has had a thorough professional experience through many independent productions in Utah.

Artistic Director René Daveluy says he and Leslie Ann Larson trained Cerissa privately on a regular basis in Utah. "Cerissa was a talent from the get go", he goes on to say, "she has a joy for life and communicates this with ease and disarming efficiency. She is just a wonderful dancer".

Daveluy also says Urry was always self made anywhere she studied. "Although she is very open and incorporates any training at hand, Cerissa has always had an instinct for technical understanding and self improvement", he explains, "Cerissa never gave up her passion for dance and always maintained her training, she is truly self motivated and in that sense, she reminds me of my own approach in my career"

Urry has been brought to Central West Ballet as Principal Dancer and will be a fantastic part of Central West Ballet headliners in the coming 2011-2012 Season. Urry is also fully trained as a journalist and is well versed in photography, web design and film editing.
