| For almost twenty years, Central West Ballet has
conducted an extensive educational approach to each of its Seasons.
Special student performances and thorough lecture demonstration have
immersed school children to the art of dance and the elusive lives
of ballet dancers. Each year, more than 10,000 students are brought
to the theatre to attend live performances of a full-length or repertory
program, including an interactive presentation by the director for
educational programs.
Central West Ballet is currently expanding its programs to include
additional outreach initiatives.
Involving dancers from Central West Ballet, this program is projected
to take the company outside Modesto to involve local
children in the art of dance.
Workshops to showcase the creativity of company dancers will also
be implemented and opened to different community students and organizations
to bring awareness of dance to a larger and more diverse group
of people.
Central West Ballet is inspired to bring its educational programs
to a greater portion of California’s Central Valley. The
company dancers will also benefit from sharing the art of dance
and bringing their experience to the delight of children everywhere. |
