
Brian Leonard joined Central West Ballet in 2008. Currently a First Soloist, Mr. Leonard has distinguished himself as Benno in Swan Lake, as the Cavalier to the Sugar Plum Fairy, Waltz Pas de Deux and Lead Spanish from The Nutcracker, in René Daveluy's Beneath Existence and Rat Pack in Revue, as the Jester and Dancing Master in Cinderella. Other works where Mr. Leonard has made his mark include, Peter Pan, 1001 Nights, House of Folk and Solitary Workers.

Ms. Milano has also made her mark in Romeo and Juliet, 1001 Nights, Solitary Workers, and Nature's Rite.

Kylie Welch joined Central West Ballet in 2006. Ms. Reenstierna-Cates has also made her mark in René Daveluy's Rat Pack in Revue, Solitary Workers, Romeo and Juliet and 1001 Nights.

Noelle Im joined Central West Ballet in 2010. Currently a Second Soloist, Ms. Im has distinguished herself in as the Spring Fairy in Cinderella and as a Cygnet and Princesses Dance from Swan Lake. Brian Leonard | Crossing the Footlights
Brian Leonard is the youngest headliner among the male dancers of Central West Ballet. Leonard has a great sense of technical intuition and is rapidly becoming a bright performer with a strong stage presence.
He is also at home in more contemporary pieces, such as in Daveluy's Beneath Existence, where Leonard showed instinctual movement and intensity. Brian Leonard was an instant favorite during Central West Ballet's production of a Rat Pack in Revue, giving the audience laughs and genuine crowd pleasing performances. His comic talents are juxtaposed with his suave like movement and grace. Leonard can be charming and elegant, yet can handle comedy in a manner reminiscent of great comics like Jerry Lewis. This gives Brian Leonard a wide range on the stages of the Gallo Center for the Arts.
Brian Leonard is one of the most unique talents at Central West Ballet. With a distinct russian quality in his dancing, Leonard caught the eyes of audiences in Central West's 2008-2009 Season. "When Brian first joined the Company", Daveluy says, "he instantly became a favorite with our audience base. It was instantaneous. Brian just has that unique quality, one just gets drawn to him when he appears onstage". Leonard has been highly praised by Daveluy as a great talent in the making. "Brian has that magnetic effect on the audience, that sort of thing cannot be manufactured". Lengthy, with long legs and high cheek bones, Leonard also has a noble quality that will be developed as he furthers his portrayals in classical full-lengths . His dancing is natural and precise and his instincts are highly developed. "His style of dancing is effortless", Daveluy explains, "I have been careful not to remove this natural penchant while building up everything needed to enhance his strengths". Leonard is a conscientious worker and dedicates himself to every role. Daveluy says Leonard has enormous potential as a distinct talent. "Brian is a gentleman", Daveluy says, "he is a respectful dancer and enthusiastic in rehearsals, he has many qualities that make him a winning number onstage".

Adelina Milano | Creative and Engaging
Daveluy says that Adelina Milano has artistically contributed to Central West Ballet in many ways. "Adelina is a gifted choreographer in her own right, he adds, "she has started to develop her own style at an early stage and I look forward to seeing more works from her in the near future". Milano is also proficient in photography and has produced a number of great photographic works for the Company. "Adelina is a generous artist who takes an interest in her peers", Daveluy goes on to say, "she brings to the Company a sense of adventure and is always full of ideas and projects. Adelina's creativity is a joy to experience".
Adelina Milano is a veteran dancer of Central West Ballet. A dedicated artist with a thorough stage experience, Milano is an elegant and sensitive dancer. She has a great sense of partnering and is at home in lyrical and contemporary dance styles. "Adelina has had a long apprenticeship through the Company ranks", says Artistic Director René Daveluy, "she has dedicated herself and has always given her best to any role assigned". Milano's musicality enables her to bring an individuality to her dancing and a sense of beauty on stage. In such roles as the Waltz Queen or as a Montague in Romeo and Juliet, Milano's presence on stage is always noticed for her poetry of movement and sensitive portrayals. In Rat Pack in Revue, Milano shinned with a Ginger Rogers quality that brought a wonderful feel to the evening. Milano also has a good sense of movement in contemporary pieces reminiscent of a Paul Taylor dancer.

Kylie Welch | Fiery and Exuberant
"Kylie is a wonder to behold on stage", Artistic Director René Daveluy says enthusiastically, "she is a genuine firecracker and fills the house with exuberant vibrations". Daveluy says Welch has recently developed a maturity that makes her versatile in any dance genre. "Kylie is by now a seasoned artist, a great partner in the making and has shown a focus in her training that is most pleasing. She gives superlative results. She is also developing a good sense of emotional depth in her dancing". Daveluy says Welch is well on her way to becoming an important headliner at Central West Ballet.
Kylie Welch is a true Central West Ballet original and one of the most promising dancers of the Company. Welch has been with Central West from a young age and has been groomed as a headliner ever since. She recently was showcased in Daveluy's Solitary Workers and was the quintessential Spring Fairy in CWB's Cinderella. She was also the Waltz Queen lead Dew Drop in the Nutcracker. Welch's joy for dance permeates any stage. Her fine, shapely figure and beauty bring to her audience and peers alike a true atmosphere of wonder. Welch's growing maturity as a dancer has given her a versatility that is impressive to watch on stage. Her experience from a young age has also enabled her to develop partnering abilities that show a confidence that is a treasure to enjoy. In a surprising and emotionally intricate featured solo in Daveluy's Solitary Workers, Welch demonstrated a depth of feeling that was uncommon for a such a young artist. Her soothing presence gave the piece meaning. Welch's capacity to be a complete performer on stage has placed her among the very best of headliners in the Company.

Liana Yates | Depth and Art in Movement
"Liana is another special artist in the making", says Artistic Director René Daveluy, "she is intuitive and lives each role she is given with a meticulous approach. Liana also has an inborn star quality that charms the audience at every turn. She has an Audrey Hepburn quality". Yates was also featured in Val Caniparoli's work entitled Songs, performing a superb technical solo with an interpretation full of depth. In House of Folk, Yates took on the role of the "Jig Girl" with a distinct flair for abstraction and popular style of dance reminiscent of the superlative dancing of Michael Jackson. Yates has a talent in adapting to any style of dance with the same dedication and goal for perfection. This makes Liana Yates a gold mine of creativity on stage.

Yates also excels in contemporary works such as Daveluy's Beneath Existence and Solitary Workers. Her appearance in "Discovery" from Beneath Existence had all the sensuality and beauty needed for the role. In "Communications" from Solitary Workers, Yates' subdued movement and detachment showed great understanding of abstract concepts. Yates is a complete artist with a rare gift for the art of dance.

Erikka Reenstierna-Cates | Great Dramatist
"Erikka's abilities as an actress and dancer make her a formidable artist", says Artistic Director René Daveluy, "she has a sense of imagination that transcends the audience". Her numerous qualities matched by a rare charismatic beauty on stage, Reenstierna-Cates has the capacity to grow into demanding roles requiring stamina and a command of the stage . Daveluy says Reenstierna-Cates is a true artist that shows a remarkable grasp of choreography. "Her recent work for CWB's first Choreographer Showcase displayed inner knowledge, maturity and a command of the medium". Reenstierna-Cates shows remarkable intuition in neoclassical and contemporary style of choreography. Her ease of movement naturally transfer into very original works that are also well crafted in formations and structure.
Erikka Reenstierna-Cates is a ballerina with deep feeling and larger than life charisma. Her ability to dance demanding roles has made her an up and coming lead dancer within Central West Ballet's array of headliners. One of the youngest soloists in the Company, Reenstierna-Cates has showed great potential as a partner in classical portrayals such as the Waltz Queen in The Nutcracker. Her Fairy Godmother in Cinderella was both mature and artistically prolific. Reenstierna-Cates is also a gifted actress on stage, which elevates her great talent as a dancer to higher grounds. "Erikka has an enormous array of versatile tools at hand because of her multi faceted talents for theatre", explains Artistic Director René Daveluy, "she has an imagination that enables her to cross the footlights with ease"

Noelle Im | Passionate in Precision
"Noelle is a gem of a dancer", says Artistic Director René Daveluy, "she has the capacity for absorbing coaching and training quickly and keeps improving with each studio rehearsal and stage performance". Daveluy adds that Im is an intensely focused dancer with the capacity to handle long working hours. "That makes her a valuable asset to any director in my book".
Noelle Im is one of Central West Ballet's great up and coming talents. She has performed the Spring Fairy in CWB's Cinderella with aplomb and technical proficiency. Im also has shown remarkable expertise on stage during the Nutcracker Season, showing technical consistency and a growing confidence across the board. As the Harlequin Doll, Im's superb dancing talent showed a potential for a lengthy and successful career. Her beautiful and svelte lines combined with pristine working ethics have already propelled her to the front line as a dancer. "Noelle's progression within the ranks is due to her complete commitment to excellence", says Artistic Director René Daveluy, "I have seen her develop her roles and work on her technique day in and day out" Daveluy says that Im has added to her natural dance technique and facility a wider sense of artistry and stage craft through her work at Central West Ballet. Indeed, Im's capacity to take on any role and transform herself inspires the audience and Company members alike.

Aaron Gulevich | Strength through Character
"Aaron never quits", says Daveluy, "he is a gentleman and always puts the best of himself into any role given to him". He has shown a steady improvement and I look forward to seeing him perform in subsequent programs. Gulevich also is a natural actor on stage. His portrayal of other character roles such as the Grandfather in The Nutcracker are full of charm and convincing in body language. His ability to create a world of his own are an asset for any full length story ballets.
Aaron Gulevich is a very strong partner with a desire for improvement in his dancing. Newly promoted to Second Soloist, Gulevich has impressed Artistic Director René Daveluy with his progression on stage. A tall and handsome artist, Gulevich has taken on character and partnering roles with ease and distinction. As Sorcerer Von Rothbart in Swan Lake, Gulevich showed rare versatility in portraying the bird like figure with a refined sense of line, and then portraying the transformation into the human sorcerer with an evil elegance worthy of any great theater artist. As the Waltz Cavalier in The Nutcracker, Gulevich changed into a solid partner with skill and security.
